    The tour begins...
I have read both Maus graphic novels, and investigated numerous Maus related resources in my preparation for this presentation but I have only scratched the surface. There is an incredible body of reference material available about Maus and its author Art Spiegelman; just follow some of the links and you will see what I mean. I have tried to limit the scope of this seminar to some key "snapshots" about the author and this significant graphic novel. I hope this visual seminar, presented as a wiki, will encourage you to read Maus and inspire you to conduct your own personal inquiry.

Watch 27:51 to 40:55 to hear a quick synopsis of the book, its success and additional comments by Spiegelman.
Listen carefully to the part of the interview when Charlie Rose calls the central character, Vladik, a hero, for surviving the Holocaust.

I have read both Maus graphic novels, and investigated numerous Maus related resources in my preparation for this presentation but I have only scratched the surface. Ideally a wiki is a website where information can be quickly stored, edited and updated by a number of people. At the moment, this site is set for public view so you can visit it but in order for you to change and add information you would need to be invited to join as a member.
Since we haven't set up the wiki for full participation in this way (yet), I would invite you to do the following:
    1. Work through the site and record any comments on the LIS 518 Discussion Board for Maus NOT on the wiki discussion.
    2. If you find any additional resources or interesting Maus-related items which you believe would be a great addition to this wiki, note this as a link or URL in your discussion comment and I will be happy to retrieve these and post them to the Additional Resources page.
    3. Thank you for joining me on this adventure. I would encourage all comments so that I can use feedback to further refine and develop this wiki.
